Due to my love for ‘Harry Potter,’ I have to say my celebrity crush is Emma Watson and my Olympic crush is Gracie Gold.
I’m a Harry Potter fan.
‘Harry Potter’ really harnessed the imagination of so many young-adult minds, and it’s the same with the ‘Divergent’ series.
I read fantasy books like the Harry Potter books, ‘Twilight,’ also biographies, and I like to read about people who have been through stuff like wars or lost their families – real life stuff, you know? I like to read about their experiences and how they coped with that.
I like ‘Harry Potter.’ I’ve seen all of them, I think.
I have an editor in my head, that’s why I can’t read Harry Potter, because Rowling is such a lousy writer.
Im an entirely one-paced runner, but occasionally I try and go into a slightly higher speed and usually pull my dodgy hamstring. So I just potter along with my rather odd bow-legged running style.
All my favorite books and movies are franchises like ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Lord of the Rings,’ so that was always the dream, that maybe I’ll get to write a series of my own.
Hats off to starting a franchise younger than we all did in ‘Twilight’ and keeping your cool. The ‘Harry Potter’ men and women had, what, a 10-year run?
My first memory of the Harry Potter series was my little brother just falling into those books and not resurfacing until he was done. That J.K. Rowling got an entire generation reading is extraordinary – I’m amazed, thrilled, and proud to now be portraying one of that phenomenal writer’s characters.
Kids are so fiercely opinionated, that if they love the Harry Potter books and they go see the movie, they’ll be the first to say, ‘That was wrong! They didn’t get that right!’ They’re storytellers themselves. They’re critics. They’re going to have the critical opinion.
