Low turnout in off-year races is always a challenge for Democrats. Many of our voters require information and must be contacted way ahead of Election Day – and reminded of what’s at stake.
I am proud of what I was able to do, the races I was able to win and the championships, but that had as much to do with the teams and the people I worked with as well. Its not something you just do on your own; it’s a whole army.
There are several races that anything can happen and Talladega is one of those places for sure.
Like any parent, they’ve been extremely supportive of my racing throughout my childhood. I mean, my mom says that she didn’t want me racing, but I think my dad and I both knew she wasn’t going to win that battle. She loves it more than anybody, so it’s neat to have the archives of all my old races.

We’re at the top echelon of motorsports, and we’ve got guys who have never won Late Model races running on the racetrack. It’s pathetic. They don’t know where to go.
I’m Iranian, which means I feel that I have more right to take off other races and religions, being an ‘ethnic’ myself. But it’s a mythical character, the Fonejacker, and it’s all tongue in cheek.
I don’t believe in frontiers, and I don’t believe in races or nationalities.
