I’m fascinated with genetic science, and I have been for a very long time. I always look at science and technology because I think that the developments in my lifetime have been so remarkable – and we’re only at the tip of the iceberg with projects like decoding the human genome.
I wish I could do 50 projects a year.
To be honest, producing records interests me less at the moment and I really don’t want to get involved in album projects that are going to take up a lot of time.
In the housing projects, people talked of ways to reduce crime, relieve overcrowding, and they were good ideas that we plan to study, and possibly implement.
I was born behind the Iron Curtain, and I remember heated discussions about large-scale terra-forming projects, such as reversing the direction of the river Ob or putting up large reflectors into space to heat up Siberia.
Fear of failure held me back from being a DIYer for many years, especially after a few early attempts at home improvement projects went awry.
You need a prince to make a town in an intellectual sense. Developers want to make money. If they cared about architecture, they’d become architects. I’ve had so many projects that never came off because they had no sponsor, and not because they were utopian. I just want to build a town that’s normal.
My intention is to get more involved in social projects so I can give people a message of hope.
A lot of projects I do be all ‘real’ music.

I’ve done a variety of projects in different areas of the entertainment industry.
I write about five thousand words a day, when working on a book, about three thousand a day if I’m writing a short story. I take long periods off between projects, when I read a lot, garden, and think about the next book or stories.
No one ever said movies are for developing your range. Hardly anyone gets that opportunity. Which is why I think the stage is so good. It’s less bread, but you can play different types, and you can initiate your own projects.
I don’t think in terms of projects.
I made a movie when I was 15 years old with all my friends. This is when IMDb was a little more lax with its proceedings, so it’s listed as one of my projects. I was 15 years old; it’s a terrible movie. I wrote 50 percent of it because I wanted to kiss this one girl, and I wrote a kissing scene for it.
I love all things crafty. I love to make jewelry. I love to cut up old clothes and turn them into something new. I love projects like transforming a busted table into a shiny new table. I’m really into restoration and little side projects.
I like to play music. I like projects. I like excuses to hang out with my friends and play music.
Except for the projects in Israel, my being Israeli has contributed negatively to my global activity. It is hard for me, for example, to get projects in the Persian Gulf emirates.
I think there are opportunities outside India as well as in India. In fact, some of the largest projects that most Indian software companies are doing are in India.
I pick and choose what I want to put on what. Instead of just dropping a single, I like putting projects together.
I like projects in which I can really act and not be me all the time.
I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but like, the second I stop working, I have a panic attack, so it’s good for me to be thinking of projects ahead of time and lining things up.
I focus on projects I am passionate about and only work with people I respect. Without these supportive teams, partners and clients, I could never work on so many things. I am fortunate that they see the value in the multiplicity of my work and how it all comes together in a kind of virtuous cycle.
Even though I have been receiving offers left, right and centre, I have been a little choosy about my projects.
Work to me has become kind of a hobby. I was a part of something that gave me financial independence and the rent is paid. Now it’s just about projects that turn me on.
There are 13 Asian countries that still have elephants, and Elephant Family is looking to invest in further projects that will be the most critical for saving elephants while there is still time.
We need more extreme movies in Sweden. Personal projects that are necessarily made for a bigger audience. I think it creates a creative lock-up to have the audience as a goal.
The same thing I did in 2013 is what I’m trying to do in 2014, which is continue to improve, continue to shock people. You know, I have several projects coming up between 2014 and 2015, and hopefully by 2015, I’ll have another hour of stand-up material where I’ll be able to go on the road and tour again.
The Oscar changed everything. Better salary, working with better people, better projects, more exposure, less privacy.
If you try to make such projects, unseen by others, as perfect as any human could, you’ll develop skills that other professionals don’t have.
Don Was is a friend of mine; we’ve done projects together over the years.
I’ve always loved projects where I can combine acting and music.
At Pixar, we believe strongly that filmmakers should develop ideas they are passionate about. This may sound like a no-brainer, but in fact in Hollywood, the big movie studios have whole departments devoted to acquiring and developing projects that will only later be paired with a director-for-hire.
I’m really into sci-fi. The reason I’m an actor is because of ‘Star Wars’ – I saw that and I knew that’s what I wanted to do. But most of the projects I’m offered as an actor are straightforward dramas, so I haven’t really been given a chance to do that kind of role.
One of the annoying things when you’re in a movie is that gets talked about is everyone projects meaning onto everyone’s intentions.
Certainly, Continental has taken advantage of pipe and sponsored pipeline projects where we could. As a historic shipper, we have put a lot of oil on pipe. We have over half of our oil on pipe coming out of the Bakken. We feel good about that.
One of the things about being on Twitter, for me, is mostly about just being on the pulse of what people are interested in, what people are doing and what people are looking for. I look at entertainment projects and storytelling, and I really try to think about what people want.
I go to Malawi twice a year. It’s where two of my children were adopted from, and I have a lot of projects there that I go and check up on and children who I look after. It’s sort of a commitment that I’ve made to this country and the hundreds of thousands of children there who have been orphaned by AIDS.
I’m not saying they won’t be bigger projects someday.
Everyone knows of great projects that were too dependent on a charismatic individual, or simply too expensive to be replicated.
I was going to visit IBM for six months as a visiting scientist. Now, six months is a lot of time, so I came with a whole list of projects that I might want to work on.
I’ve made a bit of a career taking daunting projects out of Lego. I’ve done things like a dinosaur skeleton and stuff like that.
I’m glad I have an outlet. I don’t think I would put my aggression elsewhere, but working on the projects I have worked on, you tend to benefit personally from trying to wrap your head around the way other people look at the world.
The great secret behind classified projects is that most of them are so utterly boring and uninteresting that James Bond wouldn’t even take a second look at them.
I’ve done other things, but it always seems like my sci-fi projects have been what people respond to the most, because those fans are extraordinary, so passionate.
In the marathon obstacle course of a career, it’s just good to have all the stats on paper for why you’re not only a team player but also why it makes sense to support you in the projects you want to do – because you’ve made so much damned money for the studio.
The process of putting the DVD and the CD together was great fun, because it provided a good excuse for the four of us to make time to get together again. I am especially pleased with the end result of these two projects.
Occasionally projects just take off unexpectedly, sometimes you can work away at sketches and ideas for years before they are published. There are a number of authors I would be eager to illustrate.
When ‘Rookie Blue’ began, I was so proud to be a Canadian on a Canadian show that was getting fans in America. I’m so used to working on American projects with Americans, it was a big deal for me to be on a show that showcases our talent… our ‘peeps.’
The first two projects I did out of my dorm room were mock film soundtracks.
Well, it was one of my most gratifying experiences because I could devote my knowledge and my talent for the good for the City of Washington, and all the Federal projects where the Fine Arts Commission had jurisdiction, and it was a tremendous experience.
