Don’t find fault, find a remedy.
Herbert Hoover failed through no fault of his own. The Crash of 1929 and the Great Depression were beyond his control, and every remedy he tried failed adequately to work.
Castor oil has long been a used as a remedy for a whole host of ailments including arthritis, digestion, insomnia and even period cramps. But it also stimulates hair growth.
My grandmother had flawless skin just from using basic skincare – an old herbal remedy in the form of a white powder and cream. I don’t actually know what was in it because when you’re young, you’re not interested in skincare, and I didn’t want to walk around the house with a white face.
To do nothing is also a good remedy.
What the eyes perceive in herbs or stones or trees is not yet a remedy; the eyes see only the dross.
My motivation was an idea of being able to improve the conditions of life, to try to find a remedy to many of the problems facing the world. That’s what led me into economics. I saw it as a way of helping people.
Maturity is a bitter disappointment for which no remedy exists, unless laughter could be said to remedy anything.
