I think we all do: I think we wonder if we’re supposed to be here, if we’re doing the right thing, if we even want to be here. At least, I do all the time.

Things are pretty good in Canada. We weathered the recession fairly well. And, of course, were up here up living here, we’re watching American news and we’re constantly saying, wow, it’s not as bad as it is in the United States.
There is a simple rule here, a rule of legislation, a rule of business, a rule of life: beyond a certain point, complexity is fraud. You can apply that rule to left-wing social programs, but you can also apply that rule to credit derivatives, hedge funds, all the rest of it.
I felt it absolutely essential that we plant the U.N. flag in Rwanda and plant it in a place of significance to show all the political entities, all the signees of the agreement and the Rwandans… that the international community were here and we’re here to stay and we’re going to be doing our job.

Now about those ghosts. I’m sure they’re here and I’m not half so alarmed at meeting up with any of them as I am at having to meet the live nuts I have to see every day.
Cats are very independent animals. They’re very sexy, if you want. Dogs are different. They’re familiar. They’re obedient. And we can see the positive impacts right here at Solyndra. Less than a year ago, we were standing on what was an empty lot. But through the Recovery Act, this company received a loan to expand its operations. This new factory is the result of those loans.
What innocence, may I ask, is being played here when it is known that this virtuous damsel has already got a dozen illegitimate children?
Here in New England, the character is strong and unshakable.
In a lot of ways, success is much harder than I thought it would be. I figured that you’d get here and then everything would be happily ever after. But, it’s hard work, almost harder once you’re successful because you’ve got to maintain it.
