Don’t judge me by what someone posts on my page on Facebook.
What is important is the reliability of my posts being there to greet my fans with a smile or a giggle every morning. That’s how we keep on growing.
In the past, a writer had to go outside and get to know others before learning about their work, but the Internet has made humanity more accessible for misanthropes like me. I read blogs, tweets, Facebook posts and Reddit threads where people detail their jobs.
Prior to the online platform, I had to make sure I go around and have conversations and go to schools and make appearances. But now with online presence, I try to put out videos and different posts every day. I try to inspire.
I like to keep my posts relatable and don’t just post fake things for publicity. I don’t go putting out posts just to gain more followers.
I see all these posts saying, ‘I met Lewis Capaldi,’ and in the picture, I look like a melting hippo.
We are in a time when the Peace Corps mission is more vital than ever, and the organization is at a 30-year high in the number of volunteers in the field. The Peace Corps is currently in 69 posts and serving 75 countries across the globe.
I worry about revealing too much of my life on my Instagram posts.
Once I took to Twitter and shared those jokes, they became a huge hit. My following grew, and some of the posts got thousands of retweets. With so many shares, money from sponsors followed.
Kabul is a walled city, which sounds romantic except the walls are pre-cast reinforced concrete blast barriers, 10 feet tall and 15 feet long and moved into place with cranes. The walls are topped with sandbags, and the sandbags are topped with guard posts from which gun barrels protrude.
I’ve been super impressed with what BuzzFeed has done on Facebook with inspiring list posts and on Twitter with political scoops, but YouTube is a giant social platform that has its own quirks and oddities and will require some new approaches.
Once I got married, I started working from an office. I found that having somewhere to go that isn’t my house is mentally helpful: ‘This is the place where I answer email and write blog posts,’ and ‘over there is the place where I do the dishes.’
My job, originally, was to write blog posts for their ‘HubSpot’ blog. They have a business model built on content. Then I was writing e-books for them, and after I came back from L.A., they had this new plan to launch a podcast.
In my fifties, I was still in creation mode. Now I have more of a responsibility to step back and mentor and offer wisdom, offer sign posts on the path.
The sound of water escaping from mill dams, etc., willows, old rotten planks, slimy posts, and brickwork, I love such things.
Big mistakes were made in Benghazi, and people should be held accountable. But the brave officers who staff American posts in crisis zones know how dangerous the work is.
Give immediate instruction to all your posts in said territory, under your direction, at no time and on no pretence to hoist, or suffer be hoisted, the English flag.
The art of storytelling is in development, not fact sheets. There are posts you have to hammer into the ground from the start just to get going, but if they don’t hold up the house you build, you can change them or take them out.
I have a pretty decent understanding of which posts will perform better than others. Specifically on Instagram, when it’s a style picture, those ones always get way more likes.

Well, there’s that girl on the Internet – although this isn’t an example of someone who doesn’t know they’re on – but there’s a girl on the Internet who posts one photograph every two minutes from her bedroom.
Most of Mark Zuckerberg’s income is just rent collected off the millions of picture and video posts that we give away daily for free. And sure, we have fun doing it. But we also have no alternative – after all, everybody is on Facebook these days.
What is our capability when someone posts a public social media posting that says that they’re going to conduct attacks on the United States on behalf of the Islamic State. Why can’t we pick up that information and then stop that act of terror?
I’m in charge of the State Department’s 60,000-plus people all over the world, 275 posts.
In front of us was not a line but a fortress position, twenty miles deep, entrenched and fortified, defended by masses of machine-gun posts and thousands of guns in a wide arc. No chance for cavalry!

Our home in Dubai is a beach house, so it’s more casual and not formal in its tone. It’s a holiday home. We are mostly in the pool or on the beach or in the sun. It’s an outdoor place for the family. So there are mudbikes, a boat, football posts, and the pool is heated.
