When you listen to Christian radio stations – and there are thousands of them now in the United States – and when you listen to Christian television networks – and there are thousands of Christian television shows across the country – they are all politically right.
As a parent with young children, I would always find little things that bothered me when I was reading bedtime stories or watching shows or listening to children’s music. I couldn’t find any stories, games or television shows that were fun and exciting while also being morally instructive and patriotic.
Thank goodness I started getting movie roles and then television shows came along. So I was very fortunate to be able to do all three and I like all of them.
I would like to see more of the making of just regular television shows. Like the casting process. I think it’s so fascinating to watch the actors come in and see how they discuss everybody afterwards. It’s a crazy world that has no rhyme or reason.
Television shows, especially hour-longs, are hard, tiring work. Those people are very tired and very rich. But they’re working really hard, and to create the illusion of having the time of your life like that, you really got to give it up to the people who do it.
I’ve never understood the cult of Hitchcock. Particularly the late American movies… Egotism and laziness. And they’re all lit like television shows.
