I love auditioning. Since ‘The Notebook’ and ‘Wedding Crashers,’ I don’t have to audition anymore, and I miss it. You get to show your interpretation of the character. I get nervous when I don’t audition. What if they hate what I want to do?
I came to New York and started doing stand-up and improv, and started auditioning for commercials and voiceovers and stuff. My first job was on a pilot of that prank show called ‘Boiling Points’ on MTV.

In the end, auditioning was a big deal. It was a long trip for us. I had to take off school and my parents had to take off work. In the end, it wasn’t very fruitful. I think it was just before high school, I decided this wasn’t much fun anymore so that was it.
