I can’t tell you how good it is to go from ‘Homeland’ to be lucky enough to find ‘The Blacklist’ at the right time. It literally came at the very end of pilot season when I thought there was nothing left.
In fact, allowing immigrants to have licenses actually improves homeland security by allowing our government to track who is in our borders.
When I got the role in ‘Homeland,’ it really opened something up. Other people respected me more as an actor, doors were opened, and I understood for the first time that it wasn’t personal. All that rejection wasn’t personal.
