I love storytellers. When I was growing up, my inspirations were watching Eddie Murphy, Dennis Wolfberg, and Louie Anderson. These guys were great at telling stories, and I made that my own style, talking about things that happened to me and trying to make them funny.
Anderson is a really lively guy, a really cheerful guy.
I’m a news junkie. Anderson Cooper, I watch him every night. I watch Piers Morgan a lot as well.
I believe I can beat Anderson Silva, and I believe that the skills that I have is something he’d have hard time dealing with, but to compete against the guy, first and foremost, would be an honor in and of itself.
I work hard, I will tell you that. I do a very low carb, high protein diet. I do Tracy Anderson, I do Body by Simone, I do Pilates, and I do Bikram Yoga.
Look at the guys I’ve fought. Anderson Silva. Lyoto Machida. Vitor Belfort. All those guys are much quicker than Luke Rockhold and I did just fine.
I’ve recently enjoyed the Paul Thomas Anderson commentaries and the David Fincher commentaries.
If you don’t watch ‘The Young Turks,’ you don’t know me at all. Whereas no one watches Anderson Cooper, but everyone knows him.
I think Woody Allen calls it ‘anxiety of influence.’ When you’re in your formative years and you watch a movie that makes you want to make movies… For Wes Anderson, it’s Truffaut. I’m sure for P.T. Anderson it was Scorsese and Jonathan Demme.
I think both Georges St-Pierre and Anderson Silva are establishing legacies just by how long they’ve maintained their championship runs. I think both of them still have a lot left in their careers.
People forget, I was 9-0, I was fighting Anderson Silva. I was fighting the best guys this sport has ever seen, one after the other, with no experience.
I’m topical as hell. That’s not going to change if I lose weight. There are a lot of comics that do ‘fat jokes’ better than I do – Louie Anderson, John Pinette, Gabriel Iglesias. These guys are phenomenal.
I’m a huge Paul Thomas Anderson fan.
The idea of working with David Fincher or Paul Thomas Anderson or Wes Anderson or Scorsese or Spielberg or any of the guys I really idolize is a dream for me.
Me coming from a karate and kickboxing background, Anderson Silva was like my idol, and so was Machida, especially with his karate background.
Conor McGregor knows how to control distance well, but Anderson does it like nobody else.
The first Broadway play I ever saw was ‘The Bad Seed’ by Maxwell Anderson and with Patty McCormack. ‘The Bad Seed’ was from an extraordinary novel by William March.
There was a match in Alaska that I had with Beth Phoenix at a house show where we had a standing ovation from Ric Flair, Triple H, John Cena, and Arn Anderson. I got to work with her so much that we knew each other’s body language. Got a standing ovation from the entire locker room. It was amazing.
I always think Michelle Williams is excellent in her work. And I do love Sofia Coppola. She always creates something so atmospheric. I love Wes Anderson, Roman Coppola, Andrea Arnold.
It’s been good and a nice chance to work with some great actors and actresses – Natalie Anderson, Jeff Hordley, Emma Atkins, Charley Webb and Dominic Power.
I guess because you study the character and you do all those things. But when it comes down to it, it’s still my performance, it’s still my interpretation. I’m not going to, you know, be a clone – well, I was a clone of Richard Dean Anderson!
I really like Cain Velasquez. I like his pace that he puts on; he is mentally and physically breaking everybody he goes with. He’s just tenacious and relentless. I like Anderson Silva, too. I like his style. He’s very relaxed.
Obviously, the cinematography of films is art, just as a still shot can be art. If I’m watching a Wes Anderson movie, the colour palettes alone, and the way they’re painted, could be art. With music, you’re a little bit limited, of course, because it’s only audio.
Anderson Silva, Georges Saint-Pierre, and Rodrigo Nogueira are some of the top fighters in the UFC among many other great fighters. The UFC has many of the toughest fighters around.
Felipe Anderson’s got a good engine, pace, skill, passing ability and a decent shot on him.
When I was 16 or 17, I remember kissing one of my first girlfriends, Kim Anderson, under a stairwell at Disneyland. I’ll never forget that feeling.
I would love to wear, like, twee Wes Anderson suits everywhere and not get made fun of.
