Each one seems to be, in some way, essentially different from the others, and each is a surprise to me. I think that making books, or any kind of art, might also be like mining. The artist digs into his or her life and imagination and never knows what they’ll find. That’s the adventure.
I’m not yet fortunate enough to take only the scripts that capture my fancy, but each one has to be a new experience, to put me in a light that audiences haven’t necessarily seen me before.

Octopuses have hundreds of suckers, each one equipped with its own ganglion with thousands of neurons. These ‘mini-brains’ are interconnected, making for a widely distributed nervous system. That is why a severed octopus arm may crawl on its own and even pick up food.
The greatest challenge of the day is: how to bring about a revolution of the heart, a revolution which has to start with each one of us?
Gamers have this tendency to turn games into mathematical equations, breaking them into lists of components like ‘presentation’ and ‘mechanics’ and judging each one on its own merits.
Each day, each one of us chooses not to do many things that would be legal but offensive to those around us.
Aldo is one guy. Barao is another one. We’re friends, we’re teammates, but it’s a fight. Each one will defend his name.
When you make movies, it’s such an important period of time, when you look back at each one of them. You want to be able to say that you did something that was a challenge and that changed you.
In rowing, you’re always striving for that perfect stroke, that repetition, each one being as good as the last. Same thing with cooking. You can’t say, ‘Oh, I don’t feel well, so I’m going to put out a crappy plate.’
I like to cast actors I admire, one’s that are talented. Each one will bring something new to the part. This play has been done thousands of times and now certain characters are too familiar.

It’s funny: I’ve joked that ‘Sharp Objects,’ ‘To the Bone,’ and ‘Dietland’ are my self-harm trilogy, and each one is a different side of that triangle, with ‘Dietland’ really about fighting back.
I worked with my coach to develop some new spiral variations to make my program more interesting. Each one is different and you’ll have to wait until January to see them.
I cherish everything I have because I worked hard for each one.
I have a box of things from Becca, my high school girlfriend, and Vanessa; and each one of them was love. I have the notes, the valentines, 20 mixed tapes, all of it. It’s important to keep that stuff.
From avoiding littering to encouraging local economy, there is a lot each one of us can do that will go a long way in keeping the country’s cultural legacy intact.
The four places I’ve called home in my life have been Lahore, London, New York and California. And I have a very strong tie to each one of those four places.
When Tim and I first discussed the part in 2003, he told me, ‘I’d love for you to play five Oompas.’ But five Oompas quickly turned into 165 – and they’re not computerized; I did each one individually myself.
Each one of us sees Jesus in a different way. To some, He was prophet, for they needed to know the kingdom was at hand. But most of all, He was the son of God, and He came to experience the consequences of the curse the Father had put upon mankind when Adam and Eve disobeyed.
Agape, the love of each one of us for the other, from the closest to the furthest, is in fact the only way that Jesus has given us to find the way of salvation and of the Beatitudes.
When two people are together, they are not two but six: what each one is, what each one thinks he or she is, and what each one thinks the other is. And what is true for people is also true for countries and organisations.

For every different role you play it’s nice to have different challenges for each one.
Writing is incidental to my primary objective, which is spinning a good yarn. I view myself as a storyteller more than a writer. The story – and hence the extensive research that goes into each one of my books – is much more important than the words that I use to narrate it.
Each one of us can make a difference. Together we make change.
I look at each one of my restaurants, and I want my personality to come out. Some are serious, some are intense when it comes to food and wines, some are meat masters supreme. I enjoy all my guests.

Out on the West Coast, I learned to snowboard in Whistler, and I’ve been to festivals in British Columbia, and played in Toronto so many times I can’t remember each one. Montreal too, is just one of my favourite cities on earth. I’ve played in Calgary, Winnipeg, Saskatoon.

From each one of them rose separate columns of smoke, meeting in a pall overhead, and through the smoke came stabbing flashes of fire as German shells burst with thudding shocks of sound. This was the front line of battle.
Early in my career when I was with Montreal, we had a lot of good outfielders like Otis Nixon, myself, Marquis Grissom and Larry Walker. We all did the platooning thing, although each one of us could have played every day. We got everybody in the lineup, and everybody got to play.
Is there fear? No, there isn’t. Now, I’ve made mistakes. I’ve broken 56 bones in my body, and each one was a mistake. But when we do stunts, there’s just no room for fear.

‘Everwood’ I think provides a unique feeling, an emotional experience. And other shows on TV don’t have the acting talent to do that. Each one of our actors can do a serious scene and a humorous scene, and can do it all within the same sequence. They can go from a heartbreaking moment to a humorous moment.
Spiritual men have taken into their head something that is to be realized.
