While the war in Iraq was raging, I spent some time in neighbouring Jordan, meeting with Iraqi refugees who fled their country to try to find some place of safety. I interviewed many families about what had happened to them and what they did as a result.
I want to be a winner. But you can see Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Wayne Gretzky – that kind of people – where you can see and say yeah, this is players who win everything. I want to be in this page, too.
Growing up with a famous father, and one who mastered his craft, it’s one of those things where, do you really want to be in the same profession? I can’t imagine the pressure on, say, Michael Jordan’s kids. But for me, I think it’s molded me into the character that I am today.
