Whether it’s the experiments on ‘MythBusters’ or my earlier work in special effects for movies, I’ve regularly had to do things that were never done before, from designing complex motion-control rigs to figuring out how to animate chocolate.

I’m trying figuring out how to be the best person I can be. But it’s been a process of trial and error.

I grew up in a very loving but very broken family, and I suppose that’s why I’m drawn to telling stories about well-intentioned people who are doing their best – but are not always successful – in figuring out how to maneuver through this complicated, bumpy and broken world.
