Taking on different characters and seeing things through the eyes of different people is interesting to me. When I look at what people are going through in life, I try to understand their story.
When you play against different people from all walks of life you can’t do the same thing against every player defensively or offensively. You have to change up the way you go at a player.
I got into acting for the chance to be many different people and many different characters. I love hiding in a role and doing the research. If there is an opportunity to change my body, I will change my body. I’ll slip in and disguise myself in a role. That is a really big treat for me.
A lot of people might think the job of a model isn’t necessary anymore, but just like an actor, singer – how they make you feel a certain way – how watching a dancer gives you emotion, models can do the exact same thing to many different people.
Different people bring out different aspects of ones personality.
My favorite thing about acting is that I can play all kinds of different people. Frankly, I don’t consider myself a very interesting person, so the characters I play are usually much more fun.
Anarchism means all sort of things to different people, but the traditional anarchists’ movements assumed that there’d be a highly organized society, just one organized from below with direct participation and so on.
I think I like attention, but because of the way we are – because we don’t have a lead singer and all the videos have so many different people in them – I think people aren’t really that sure about who’s in the band.
The travel, the amazing work I have had the chance to do, the meetings with different people are all very inspiring and give me lots of positive energy.
How can we salute – encourage the American spirit? That means many different things to many different people.
You’ve probably heard from 100 different people that the Patriots are a game plan offense. Here’s what that means: We’re going to watch the defense specifically to identify their tendencies, what they do situationally and what their philosophy is.
Certain things happen in life that force you to take a pause and priorities are constantly changing. You’re meeting different people and things don’t always go as planned, but in the best way possible.
I tell anyone who is willing to listen that auditioning is the hardest part. Once you get the job, you have the job. You can go to work. You learn your lines. You learn your character. With auditioning, you can have five in a week with different people.
The problem is you have people who are keenly aware of what their time span is. Governments work towards the next election; BBC governors work for their time there. You have extraordinary regimes that run at the BBC and different people have different outlooks.
To me, the Northwest is the best. The air, it feels cleaner. The people are so nice and caring. Every time I fly in on a plane, I say, ‘I’m never leaving here.’ It’s just different. People who aren’t from here don’t get it. It just fits certain people.
I wanted to show the world, and myself too, what I can do. I came up in the world of Philadelphia soul, but I’m fluent in a lot of languages musically and I like working with different people from different generations.

Baseball is just a game, obviously, but it means a lot to a lot of different people.
Different people get different things out of the images. It doesn’t matter what it’s about, all that matters is how it makes you feel.

You’re really looking for the truth of what the piece is about. And that’s going to be different for different people.
Stadiums are full, pitches are good, the press is different, people are different, the football culture is different. Everyone talks highly of England and I’d like to experience it one day. You see more space, more opportunity to enjoy your football. It’s more physical, more intense, but I think I’d be comfortable.
I love collaborating with different people.
I don’t think about what I can’t do or what I shouldn’t be doing. I just think there are endless possibilities musically, really. And I’m very, very open to experimenting with different people and trying to find different methods of writing and making music.
I need to continue reading books, and I like to learn about different people in the world, different people with success in and outside of football.

Remakes are tricky and I wanted to approach ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’ as a fresh film. Taapsee and I are different people. Naturally, our understanding of characters won’t be the same. Further, I didn’t want to be influenced by her performance and I like it that way.
The best part of my carreer is getting to meet so many different people, because I learn so much from everyone.
I have no idea what my best material is. Different people like different things. I’ll say this: The political stuff gets the press, but the relationship jokes sell all the seats.
Certainly there were so many different people I had as heroes growing up. Steve Martin is always my number one. David Letterman’s show, that was important. And ‘Saturday Night Live,’ obviously.
I spent a lot of time on film sets with my dad at work, and as a kid, that’s a very appealing thing, to watch grownups get to play dress-up and pretend that they’re different people – and then get paid for it!
We write songs that hit different people at different ages where they live.
The same thing happened today that happened yesterday, only to different people.
I don’t feel that any kind of narrow stereotypes are representative of the work I’ve done, nor the range of the audience that work has found. I’ve played lots of different roles, and they’ve connected with lots of different people.
I was fortunate that I was at newspapers for eight years, where I wrote at least five or six stories every week. You get used to interviewing lots of different people about a lot of different things. And they aren’t things you know about until you do the story.
I’ve done a lot of theater work that has been quite diverse. I feel very fortunate to have had many different people think of me in many different ways. So, as an actor that’s all you – all I want is diversity. So far in film and television work I have done has not been as diverse, and I hope it grows to be.
As a kid I would watch ‘SCTV,’ ‘Saturday Night Live,’ ‘Monty Python’ and ‘The Kids in the Hall,’ and be amazed that these guys got to be different people every week. It spoke to the acting side in me.
You sit men and women down and give them a maths test, and they will do fairly equally. Then you set up the same test, but with different people, and make them tick a box to say whether they are a man or a woman, and the women do significantly worse in the maths test than they did previously in a group set.
That’s why I wanted to be an actor – to be everybody. Through all those different people I can learn about myself.
