Why should ‘big sports’ get tax breaks that businesses and families across America don’t get?
It is important for women to have a choice, to have an opportunity to plan their families, because if they don’t, the Republicans have said this is an ownership society. You are on your own, and they’re going to begrudge that child everything, from WIC to a Pell Grant to health insurance.
It was a very hard life. As I got older, the family was depending very much on me. My two older brothers got married, so they had their own families depending on them. I had seven people relying on me, so I worked in a grocery store.
