Generally speaking, ROH championship matches are hard fought and grueling, and the fans are really into it. The ROH Championship means a lot to me for those reasons.
I would not want the limitations held by the name of a classical musician. I want many people to enjoy my music much beyond just classical music fans. I think the term, ‘violinist,’ keeps me distant from the audience. I want to communicate with them more.
When I was running the Troubadour, there was this transition from the classic singer/songwriter Jackson Browne types to bands like Black Flag, the Dead Kennedys, and Fear. Those are just some that come to mind. Oh, and Adam Ant! The Fear fans wanted to ‘crush’ the Ants. These guys hated each other.
I have learned to smile when I wasn’t happy, to sing when I didn’t feel like it, and to do things just to please my fans.
I have a lot of fans who are people of color. I think, if nothing else, I kind of understand that sense of being on the outside looking in, culturally.
Our fans are definitely dedicated. We see them at all the shows, just faces that we’ve recognized for years. They keep coming back, and it’s awesome.
I love my fans to death.
Fans always have an opinion of their own. We only try to live up to their expectations.
When I make eye contact with our fans while playing a gig, I seem to have the most energy.
Several hard-core Star Wars fans who had tickets for the first showing actually said that when the movie finally began, they started crying. Mainly because they realized that it’s 22 years later, and they still haven’t lost their virginity.
Evanescence fans aren’t the popular kids in school. They aren’t the cheerleaders. It’s the art kids and the nerds and the kids who grow up to be the most interesting creative people.
I understand that some fans want to express their feelings with signs, and they should do so, as long as they stay within the boundaries of good taste and don’t block the view of other fans.
Every time I fought at home, I gave my fans a knockout. I spoiled my fan base in Cincinnati.
I hope that all new filmmakers see that the Internet and social media are helpful tools in establishing a fan base as well as being able to interact with your fans.
When I hit that Five-Star Frogsplash, I’m pretty confident that if I can crawl over in time, I’m going to get the three-count. So that’s kind of always in my back pocket; the fans always know it.
I am thankful to my fans and producers that I am on my toes all the time to do better. The day you feel you have achieved it all or you are something, then you are gone, and that thought never came to me.
I’m learning to accept myself. I’m still in the process of learning to love who I am. And it’s been really refreshing and really nice to be able to do that and be okay. I think my fans have brought that out in me.
Awful film adaptations follow novelists for the rest of their lives. An atrocious movie of ‘We Need to Talk About Kevin’ could have stigmatised the book, aggrieved the novel’s fans, and blighted my reputation forever.
I have had fans make me the big picture collages of the photo books; I have had fans send me birthday cakes… sing to me on my voicemail. I have had fans flash me. I have had older fans give me their bras and underwear onstage.
I want to be remembered as one of the best entertainers that had come along. That is what I’d like fans to talk about when they mention Ricky Steamboat.
You don’t even have to win a championship every year to draw the fans. You just have to show you’re really trying.
I smile every time I hear that I’m a fan favorite or a teenage hottie. It is a nice compliment, and the remarks from the fans are great.
I’m very active on social media and see the huge impact it has on engaging with fans and being able to have a voice.
My thing is to get new fans. So I love when people say, ‘Oh, I’ve heard of him before.’ Or ‘I’ve never heard of Durk.’ Or ‘I’m a fan of Durk today.’ This is what I like to see, because it lets me know when I come out with something that it’s going to work.
It’s a blessing to have fans acknowledging your craft, period.
I don’t mind putting my heart out there for the audience, and for the country music fans… to be vulnerable with them… that’s my job as an artist.
I work on my technique, but when I do a video, I want people to be amazed by the speed or the power. The casual fans don’t care if your hands are up or your hands are down.
We were big Saturday Night Live and Eddie Murphy fans.
The fans in the U.K. are so passionate and cool. It doesn’t matter what company you work for or which part of the country you’re in: everyone is super educated and respectful.
Liga MX is a great environment, the fans are very enthusiastic.
When people mention our solo projects, people start guessing: What will Rose do? What will Lisa do? I enjoy watching fans speculate.
For a while we were chasing a book by Graham Greene to do Brighton Rock as a musical. We didn’t get the rights, so we decided to create something from scratch, with Jonathan. By that time we were big fans of his work.
As a manager, everyone is clambering for you to do something. It comes from the media, the fans, the board and even your own staff sometimes. The strongest thing can be to do nothing and remind the players of the simplicity of the format. The players have taken ownership of that.
What good are fans? You can’t eat applause for breakfast. You can’t sleep with it.
I’m probably one of the biggest Drake fans you could ever find.
Like Jermaine was saying, it’s a beautiful day, and we’re just glad all of this is behind us. We can go on with our lives. And Michael can go on with his life and do what he does best, and that’s making good music, making his fans happy, people happy all over the world.
Everybody always thinks I’m a lesbian because I’m a very tough broad. I have a lot of lesbian fans.
I come out before the matches because it’s important the fans see I am in a good mood. When I get to the club, my mood is always lifted. You can be in a terrible mood, but once you are at Fulham, you are happy.
What our fans want, what our fans believe, what our fans are interested in is why we are what we are. But, nevertheless, ultimately we have to do the things that we believe are essential for the long-term health of the game, of the league, and of all of our franchises.
I try to focus on my fans, who I know have been there since day one.
What I treasure the most is people coming up to me in the elevator and saying, ‘You really did a great job’: neighbours who congratulate for a job well done or little fans who hug me and say they want to be like me.
I just consider Boston and New England incredible sports fans. If they give me trouble, think I’m rooting for other side, it’s mainly because they’re living and dying with every pitch and every play and think I’m rooting for the other side. I’d much rather that than apathy.
My fans go crazy over jaw clenches. They also love hand veins… they’re infatuated with hands in general.
I don’t get recognized much, and am very happy with that. The fans I have met have all been delightful.
Anybody intelligent enough to realize what America is, is not going to sit around and do nothing about it. They’re going to be the same way that I am. They’re going to be the same way our fans are. They’re going to be pissed.
I’m putting everything on the line in being able to express myself in a different way than rappers normally do. They might say, ‘It’s rap’ or ‘It’s R&B,’ but I’m stepping outside the box and making music for me and making music for the fans to understand me. I’m going the extra distance to be able to come across different.
And looking at today’s music scene, I think it’s cool that there are a lot of consumers and fans not limited by what radio and the record companies tell them to buy.
It is unbelievable, the fans in China.
It all starts off on the field. In any sport, that’s how you catch people’s attention. From there, you kinda show your fans, your following, what kind of person you are and your personality. I let the field work do its work.
We know how to convey exactly what we want to convey. We know how it makes us feel and we know exactly how to show our fans how to feel the same way.
It’s funny that a lot of the fans of ‘Angel’ have come over and hung out with me on ‘Leverage.’ I was so fortunate to have been on that show. It created one of the best fan groups ever. I just have the best fans in the world.
Oh, my mom. She’s one of my biggest fans.
The most passionate fans are from India, and I hope that I can motivate more Indians to pursue wrestling – or any athletics, for that matter – and become champions.
I pay attention to lyrics and I know what rap fans care about. I try to write for the average listener and I’m conscious of the mainstream without selling out.
Horror film fans are pretty starved for quality. If you do something thoughtful or if you make something good, they’re so thankful for it.
We’re moved by our fans. We feel their sadness and happiness. We’re deeply connected.

We love our fans and are very connected with our fans.
Our fans want us to be happy and if that means being married or having a girlfriend, they are okay with that. Of course, in this industry it is a bit harder to have normal relationships, but it is possible.
