I don’t have the hard everyday life that so many working mothers face.
The older you get, the easier it is to get injured. But what I’ve learned the hard way is that the more excess weight you have, the more likely you are to get injured doing everyday things.
It’s like going to the gym everyday. It really is. I work hard on my craft, I sweat a little bit, I run a little bit, I might sprain an ankle every now and them, but it’s all good and the more you do it, the more in shape you are and it’s like a machine.
The plain man is familiar with blindness and deafness, and knows from his everyday experience that the look of things is influenced by his senses; but it never occurs to him to regard the whole world as the creation of his senses.
For me, wigs and hairpieces are an everyday part of my life. One day I can wear what I like to call my ‘Back to you, Barbara’ look – professional and full of layers – and the next day you may see me in my ‘Bubblin’ Brown Sugar’ look – curly, fun and bubbly.
The flag represents all the values and the liberties Americans have and enjoy everyday.
While the Obama White House is completely incompetent and weak, they know how to spin everyday Americans.
‘Life, Love & Hope’ is… I’m thinking ‘larger picture.’ I’m not trying to preach to anyone. We all get lost and caught up in our everyday problems. Your cellphone doesn’t work or you got a parking ticket, you had a bad day at work. You can lose sight of the really important things in life; that’s what the song is about.
Design is a vital component to the enrichment of our everyday lives. Japan has a very rich history and culture of design, and I feel it is a very important dialogue to open and keep evolving.
As far as extra dimensions are concerned, very tiny extra dimensions wouldn’t be perceived in everyday life, just as atoms aren’t: we see many atoms together but we don’t see atoms individually.
Humor is perhaps a sense of intellectual perspective: an awareness that some things are really important, others not; and that the two kinds are most oddly jumbled in everyday affairs.
My main job is to live with deep contentment, joy, and confidence in my everyday experience of life with God. Everything else is job number two.
The everyday issues that we witness against women in the present day will throw light on the respect women enjoyed at the time of Ramayan.
How children attempt to deal with everyday comedies and tragedies, and mortality, is universal and ultimately such a large part of what it means to be human.
I try to stay in shape just to handle things like the stress of a job or everyday life.
I like pieces that have everyday appeal and can be worn anywhere!
By dimension, we simply mean an independent direction in which, in principle, you can move; in which motion can take place. In an everyday world, we have left-right as one dimension; we have back-forth as a second one; and we have up-down as a third.
A lot of things have hurt me about the industry. I don’t want to be very vocal about this but it’s an everyday fight with Bollywood. It’s like a love hate relationship.
The implications of these considerations justify the statement that all empirically verifiable knowledge even the commonsense knowledge of everyday life – involves implicitly, if not explicitly, systematic theory in this sense.
There’s so much importance in honoring your everyday hero. It doesn’t take money. It doesn’t take connections. What matters is that people get involved. Whether your passion is gun control or food or whatever it may be, everybody needs to stop being so self-absorbed.
From the viewpoint of political power, culture is absolutely vital. So vital, indeed, that power cannot operate without it. It is culture, in the sense of the everyday habits and beliefs of a people, which beds power down, makes it appear natural and inevitable, turns it into spontaneous reflex and response.
Hallucinatory – that’s just the way everyday life is, in Colombia. All the time, you say to yourself, did I just see that?
Much of everyday life is filled with opportunities to be distracted. Our possessions… entertainment… cares and anxieties… and even the passionate desire and pursuit of things, some good and not so good, can keep our minds and hearts caught up in a flurry of activity.
The contrast of ISIL’s videos – which proclaim a fully-functioning and prosperous state – with those of RBSS, which captured the dysfunction and violence of everyday life, is shocking. In a sense, it’s a war of ideas, a war of propaganda, a war being waged with cameras and computers, not just guns.
I’m condemned by some inner compulsion to think about the daily rituals of my life. I have a low grade fever for improving myself in many ways, including everyday tasks.
With my father and uncle so involved in racing, it was the only thing I ever knew, so I’m sure that had a huge influence on me. However, my father had more influence on me just by the way he lived, because the way he was at the racetrack was the way he was in everyday life.
I love being onstage and I love to perform. To be honest with you, I’m more comfortable performing than I am in an everyday situation, which I can’t quite explain.
I used to share my everyday life on the first social media platforms, and I had a pretty big following.
I still have my buddies from back home, I still have my family. They really help to keep me grounded. I try to call them and talk to them about their everyday life.
It strikes me that golf’s great virtue is that it gets you out of the house, away from everyday bothers, away from the endless round of looking for this, that and the other.
Part of what I do and what I want to do is I want to bring art into the everyday life. If you can take ordinary just walking in the street and you’re confronted by something, that might change your day – it might inspire you.
It’s easy to get wrapped up in sharing everyday life with a partner. It’s fun to get lost in love and romance. It’s the best. But holding on to yourself while doing that is the most important thing.
I would like to prove that on TV, everyday lives can be as compelling as the life-styles of the rich and famous. Especially lives that we catch at extraordinary moments.
Every record from New Found Glory is a little different. We’re a real band that writes songs about our everyday relationships – like, our personal war, not war and government or politics.
The problem is when that fun stuff becomes the habit. And I think that’s what’s happened in our culture. Fast food has become the everyday meal.
I run a lot. I do a lot of yoga. Hot yoga. Which is random and sounds lame, but it has definitely made my flexibility and balance 100 percent better on my skateboard. I do that and a lot of plyometric, biometrics, and surf. I train every other day of the week and skate for an hour everyday.
Everyday… well, if I’m doing it myself, I have my five-minute makeup routine, which is I do tinted moisturizer, and then I do a quick concealer, and I use our bronzer every day. And then I have to curl my lashes, and then I do our Quickie mascara, and that’s it.
When I’m working, I don’t wake up and say, ‘OK, time to go be intense.’ I just look at whatever scenes we’re working on that day and break them down – just real intense everyday work.
I conceived of a concept, a project, a band. The Tide. The Tide, acting as a sonic exemplar of flow and fluidity. The way of things. The way of nature. Guitars, rock and surf music, psychedelia, transcendence from everyday bourgeois consciousness.
I had a hard time admitting to myself that I was addicted to sweets. Once I finally realized that was my vice, I completely cut it out for 30 days to try and clean myself of all processed sugar. After that, I slowly incorporated moderate amounts of sugar into my everyday lifestyle.
In everyday life, my wife is the most wonderful. We’re in love with each other beyond belief.
The deepest fear we have, ‘the fear beneath all fears,’ is the fear of not measuring up, the fear of judgment. It’s this fear that creates the stress and depression of everyday life.
It’s like a cast of actors; you’re all working together closely under pressure to produce something everyday. And when we put up an issue, it’s like the curtains opening on a new play. I really like that daily sense of surprise.
People talk about loyalty of players to clubs. But in the everyday world, you don’t see people being loyal to their company when they’re getting offered considerably better deals elsewhere.
I write about everyday people, everyday lives.
We all look to have transcendent experiences that lift us out of the everyday, and fear is a good one. But, I think it’s the same reason why people want to laugh their heads off.
The best way to describe my work is comedy in a very, very real way. I’m not scared to look silly on camera. I take everyday situations we all go through and put a very real twist on it – things people can relate to.
I’m interested in the history of the soul: the everyday life of the soul, the things that the big picture of history usually omits – or disdains.
I really am not interested in making political music per se. I’m making personal records, but at the same time, I’m very much aware of my surroundings. And those surroundings, what’s going on in the larger picture, affects my everyday life and affects the way that I think.
