I would love to speak with First Lady Michelle Obama about the addictive component of obesity.
I’m often asked who my style icon is, and almost every time I try to think of someone current who excites me. And although there are a few women who interest me – Tilda Swinton, Michelle Williams, Julianne Moore – the real answer is Twiggy.
I’ve been very lucky to put women that I sincerely admire on the cover of ‘Vogue:’ the then First Lady and now Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and, more recently, First Lady Michelle Obama. Those were benchmarks for the magazine, and certainly covers that I’ve been very, very proud of.
Leaving was tough because it got to a point where – I was dealing with so much, mostly being Undertaker’s girlfriend while I was on TV. There was even a writer who threw the papers up one day and said, ‘Why don’t we just call it the Michelle McCool and Undertaker show.’
I always think Michelle Williams is excellent in her work. And I do love Sofia Coppola. She always creates something so atmospheric. I love Wes Anderson, Roman Coppola, Andrea Arnold.
It was a pleasure to meet President Obama and Michelle. I’m not a political person, but I admire what he has done.

My feminist icon is Michelle Obama. To me she represents the definition of a strong and intelligent woman who has used her platform for so much good.
I remember my mom let me stay up late and watch Tara Lipinski and Michelle Kwan compete in the 1998 Olympic Games. I made paper medals and wore them the whole night. I didn’t start skating until 2000, but I was so inspired by their skating that it was why I wanted to start.
Once they have actually left office, we seem to grow fonder of our ex-presidents – and they of each other. That’s why so many sighed in approval at Michelle Obama’s public display of affection with George W. Bush at last month’s dedication of the National Museum of African-American History and Culture.
Look at Michelle Obama. Everyone keeps making a big deal about her arms being exposed, but don’t get it twisted: her arms are out for a reason. Black women have had those arms forever – lifting, picking cotton, toting and carrying babies.
Everything you could imagine Michelle Yeoh being, she lives up to that.
