Every season is a new challenge to me, and I always set out to improve in terms of games, goals, assists.
I played in football games where you walk off the field and the scoreboard didn’t end up the way you wanted. But you knew that you really did give it all. And the other team was too strong.
It’s very important that you focus on winning games and being consistent down the stretch. I think that’s what we’re focused on. All of the other stuff about who wins and who loses and how many wins do we need, if we’re focusing on that, then that’s not good.
In both games, you have to think fast. In chess you tend to know all the patterns already, just like in football.
Did I go out and make calls in those games that the NBA wanted me and the crew to call? Absolutely. Did it put a team at an advantage and a disadvantage? Absolutely and that’s how I was able to win the bets so easily.
I think average players are able to play well now and again, or they’ll play very, very well. Good players or great players, nine times out of ten, they have good games.
If I had a day to myself I would just play video games with my brothers.
I went to public school, elementary through high school. I went to homecoming, to football games, pep rallies, I got detention, I got an F. I’ve done it all.
I’m a film maker who started on the Atari and then went onto the Commodore 64 and the Amiga. So I possibly have a different sensibility to people who didn’t play games growing up.
The problem stems from the ADHD. The nutty behavior. You have got all this energy going and you can’t focus on anything. It’s like games at school – like football. I couldn’t play because I couldn’t understand the rules. I couldn’t get offside. I just couldn’t take in the rules.
