One thing we see a lot is this – the idea kids have now that they don’t have to go to college. They don’t have to get a real job. They feel they can become ‘Internet famous’ by taking selfies. They think they can become a star through social media. We see that a lot. You can succeed. But it takes time and persistence.
In life, an abundance of confidence gives us higher motivation, persistence, and optimism and can allow us to accomplish things we otherwise might not have undertaken.
Uncle Jack Charles and his mob, I wouldn’t have a career if it wasn’t for their persistence. They worked hard at a time when no one took them seriously and no one even considered indigenous roles as a mainstream option.
The big talent is persistence.
Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.
Effective networking isn’t a result of luck – it requires hard work and persistence.
