‘Instagram’ can engage generations of people that may not be on Facebook yet. I think that’s true with ‘WhatsApp,’ and I think that will be true with things like Oculus.
Twitter became a major place to find out what was breaking on the Internet. Facebook became a place to share links. Social media really grew up.
If Facebook gets your entire social graph, you don’t necessarily want to share everything with your entire social graph. You might wanna parse that social graph. So there’s a company called PASS that is a private social network that I personally use for my friends and my family.
Facebook’s the real deal. Nobody can buy Facebook now. Everybody has taken an angle at it. But Facebook may be the place that organizes everybody’s personal information. It’s got a very good chance of being that.
