There are obviously a multitude of brutal things that happen on ‘Game of Thrones,’ and the press or social media tend to latch on to particular things, don’t they?
Mankind, the spirit of the earth, the synthesis of individuals and peoples, the paradoxical conciliation of the element with the whole, and of unity with multitude – all these are called Utopian, and yet they are biologically necessary.
The difficulty is to try and teach the multitude that something can be true and untrue at the same time.
You don’t just wake up one day with dementia or Alzheimer’s; these conditions are developmental. Even when a problem triggers the need to collect data, it’s reviewed by a specialist and filed away. There’s no central repository allowing information to be shared across a multitude of researchers worldwide.
Every step and every movement of the multitude, even in what are termed enlightened ages, are made with equal blindness to the future; and nations stumble upon establishments, which are indeed the result of human action, but not the execution of any human design.
Singaporeans do recognize the multitude of perspectives the Government has to take cognizance of, but it is important to recognize and not forget that citizens criticize and even organize because they can.
