I don’t have a mullet, but going into season one on ‘The Walking Dead,’ I asked to have a mullet, and everybody talked me out of it. Because I’d have to wear a mullet when we were not shooting every day. I have that motorcycle, wings on my vest, the crossbow… Maybe a mullet would’ve thrown me over the edge.
I made a big mistake with him the first day I shot. We’re shooting the scene where I come back from the party, the dance, in the sleigh with Julie Christie and we turn the corner and go past the camera and the camera follows us just a little bit and we disappear.
I often find during a day of shooting I will speak in an American accent all day long when I’m doing dialogue. At the end of the day, it often takes an effort when I’m talking to my fiancee to bring my English back just because you’re so used to speaking that way.
The young men in the inner city are without guidance, robbing and shooting each other with no remorse… Our system is crazy because we’re planning to fail. Everybody needs something to grasp on to.
In Chicago, you know you got beef with everybody. In Atlanta, you’re chilling, but you don’t get too comfortable. Like, if I go to the store, it’s not like anybody’s gonna come out shooting at me.
I can do a lot more by shooting from outside, score inside, penetrate, and make opportunities for others.
