The premise of ‘The Originals’ are places that have been open 50, 60, 75, 100 years or longer that are still doing it right that maybe a lot of people, particularly the younger generations, have not even thought about.
It took us a long time to find out that we had been lied to by our parents’ generation. The moralities that were followed during our parents’ generation were basically arbitrary. This caused a rift between the two generations, which was brought on by the beatniks.
The training of younger generations is very close to my heart.
No film survives because of a big name. If a film has to survive generations, it will survive on its content and craft.
