Australians are gypsies by nature. I’ve been fortunate enough to experience different regions of the world.
Electric Gypsy’ was really raw. I was literally sketching out the lyrics as they walked in the door. I jumped up and had a sheet of paper and I showed them the chords, which are simple. We counted it off, I got the lyrics off the sheet into the song and played a solo at the end – done!
I’ve always been a gypsy.
I’m out here to represent the gingers, the gypsies, and the outcasts. Because I am all of the above, and I’m all about having a great time.
‘Gypsy’ follows a New York therapist, played by Naomi Watts. It explores the boundaries between patient and doctor – she kind of starts to play puppeteer with her clients.
I had a gypsy upbringing, so I moved around all over the place and can’t remember a street I grew up on.
