I like ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Game of Thrones.’ I like that era. I like that fantasy world.
Being part of ‘Game of Thrones’ is amazing, really incredible.
‘Game of Thrones’ is wonderful. My theory is they employ all these British actors because, one, they are like me and grateful. Two, we turn up, and we know our lines. Three, we don’t demand a 60 ft. Winnebago and PA, and four, largely we are very uncomplaining.
I’m used to being part of ‘Game of Thrones’ and going into something where you’re a small part of something else. You don’t want to hold anything up because they’ve got such a well-oiled machine going.

The whole world of ‘Game of Thrones’ was realized with such detail, with directors and writers who really geeked out and really loved all the little bits of it.
What I like about ‘Game of Thrones’ is that there’s such a wide range. We have everything from very small, just solo instrument pieces, just the solo violin or solo cello, and then we go all the way to these bigger action moments.
I had worked in TV prior to working on ‘Game of Thrones’ – ‘Game of Thrones’ is far more cinematic than any other television show that I had done before, and so I feel that the worlds of TV and film are most definitely merging as one.

Speaking from personal experience, I watch zero shows when they air. The only shows I watch live are awards shows or sports. Shows like ‘True Detective’ and ‘Game Of Thrones,’ I watch every episode, but I don’t watch them as they air, and I think that’s becoming the case for people more.
You realize, no matter how great, books are not shows or movies; each operates on their own different rules. ‘Game of Thrones’ is no different. Being forced to come up with those scenes on short notice helped how we were viewing the show and forcing it to come into its own.
I’m completely the opposite of what I play on ‘Game of Thrones.’
I can’t always say that justice is always done in ‘Game of Thrones.’ It is not.
You can learn something from everyone in ‘Game of Thrones,’ whether it is something you learn not to do or something you learn to do.

I don’t think they’re gratuitous with the nudity on ‘Game of Thrones.’ It’s very much part of the world. There’s a lot of it, but that’s the world they come from. It never is there to distract from the scene or the actors or story.
‘Game of Thrones’ has been a large part of my life for the last six years and for my family as well. It’s very seldom that you come on a show and it’s the perfect role for you.
The phenomenon that is ‘Game Of Thrones’ has propelled many actors associated with it into the minds of directors and producers, and it’s a fabulous position to be in. It’s because it’s so adored and respected, of such high quality with such amazing cinematography.
