I’ve played a lot in Las Vegas in my life.
Our culture does not teach us this, but what happens in Vegas does not stay in Vegas. If you cheat in Vegas, it comes right home with you. If you cheat in Vegas, you walk home as a cheater. You lie awake at a night a cheater. You cannot escape it.
Vegas finally has a team and it’s good for the NFL.
Whenever I play Las Vegas, they always give you a suite, and it’s really nice, and it always comes with a large bathtub.
My dream is to fight at Goodison Park. Forget Wembley, or Vegas, I just want to fight at Goodison Park. It’s been a dream ever since I was a child; no one’s ever done it.
I started a big part of my career in Vegas.
I’m into the food in Vegas. I’m willing to go to nice restaurants for sushi and stuff like that.
In credits, I’m ‘Michael’ sometimes now, but people know you as something, so there’s no point fighting it. ‘Squiggle,’ you’ll always be ‘Prince,’ and ‘The Rock,’ just accept it. I want to move on, but not that much. So I’m still known as ‘Johnny Vegas.’
There’s something very special about playing Las Vegas, and I never tire of being here.
I’ve enjoyed appearing in Atlantic City. East Coast audiences are a bit brighter than Las Vegas audiences. I think most entertainers will tell you the same thing. The East Coast audiences are more perceptive – especially when it comes to a performer with a theatrical background.
Vegas shows me a lot of love.
I hated L.A., so spread out, so phony. It’s like Vegas. It isn’t real.
Vegas’ energy is wild.
I moved from Minnesota to Las Vegas when I was 13, so I spent my high school years there and did some things I’m not proud of.
I love Vegas cuz everybody who comes to hear me DJ is ready to party.
I have a nice car, a Mercedes. And then I have an old El Camino truck that I’m crazy about. I like to get in that truck and go up in the hills near where I live, in Vegas, and take my camera. That, to me, is Heaven, being out in nature, taking pictures of the wildlife.
I have four favorite places for womanizing: L.A., Miami, New York, and Vegas.
I’ve been in Vegas. That’s where you get into the money thing. Boy, you get greedy in Vegas, you know. That’s the only place that you can bet $25, get it up to $500 and refuse to quit.
I love the vibe of Las Vegas.
We love to visit Las Vegas. It is so much fun, so iconic; it is always a pleasure.
In Vegas we thrived on being the hated team, on being the bad boys. That’s definitely not my personality. If that helps my team, helps me play better, then so be it.
My wife and I got married on 12/12/12 in Las Vegas, and she was wearing a Slayer T-shirt. That tells you what kind of woman I’m lucky enough to be with.
The opportunity to be a star chef, to imagine it would be here in Las Vegas, I couldn’t comprehend it.
Being an entrepreneur is all about risk. Being an entrepreneur is like going to Vegas every day and shoving all of your chips into the middle of the table every single day.
Unfortunately, in Nevada – and more specifically, in Las Vegas and Reno – we’ve experienced incidents of human trafficking. In Las Vegas, the average trafficking victim is as young as 14. We must act to prevent this disturbing criminal activity from occurring in our communities.
Howard Hughes himself was a regular at the restaurant, and in a way it became his headquarters, too. Howard had recently relocated to Las Vegas, so when he wanted to do business in Los Angeles, he went into the back of our restaurant to use the telephone.
Before representing Nevada in Congress, I worked in Las Vegas as a computer programmer and systems analyst in what’s been long considered a male-dominated industry. It wasn’t easy.
Personally, I love Las Vegas.
I used to go to Vegas and play the horses, and then I realised how ridiculous that was. There is no winning in gambling, but there is on the stock market.
Any time that you have a sporting event with a Vegas line to it, there’s always going to be somebody involved in organized crime trying to make a dollar off of it.
I was in Las Vegas, and there was a exhibit of King Tut’s tomb, and it was an audio tour. At the very end of that, I just thought it would be a really cool structure for a novel, but I just didn’t have a story to go along with it.
Man, I really like Vegas.
I’m training at Phase 1 Sports in Las Vegas, and it’s a very high-end training facility for a lot of top-level athletes. I have been able to add a lot of power and the endurance to keep that power going. I’ve always been powerful, but the muscle conditioning I’ve been able to add has been a tremendous amount of help.
I’ve been able to go on and have a successful career on Broadway and certainly the last five years in Las Vegas have been amazing.
It is amazing that you now have a bus company in Ballymena producing world class buses for Hong Kong, Singapore, London and Las Vegas.
I went to Brighton College, Shoreham College for one year, then to Spring Valley High School in Las Vegas for a couple of years.
All of Vegas is false. There’s a false Paris, a false Venice, a false Baghdad – in fact, all of the early Vegas aesthetic is Baghdad, which is also the irony. It’s ‘Aladdin,’ the sands, ‘One Thousand and One Nights.’
I did ‘Rock of Ages’ when it was in both L.A. and Vegas, playing the lead, Drew.
Comedy is not the first choice in Vegas for entertainment.
I travel a lot, but I’d love to go back to cities such as Paris, Las Vegas, New York, and London with my family. When I’m there touring with the band, I have to work, and it’s no fun at all.
They are the three venues I wanted to box in – I wasn’t really interested in Las Vegas and all of them places. The three I always said was Croke Park, United, and Madison Square Garden.

I come back to Vegas pretty regularly. Quick visits, and I usually just kind of lay low, see my mom, and then get out of there. But every now and then, I’m able to kind of come for extended stays and see some people.
There is great food in Vegas.
It was a melting pot in Las Vegas. You got every age level, every ethnic background, every social aura – it was an absolute Americana audience… people who were there to celebrate occasions; people who were there to gamble; people who were there because they were awed by the whole Vegas operation. Tourists.
Vegas needs a really funny, dirty, late-night show, and I’ll tell it like it is, I promise you that. And you gotta love the audience I bring in.
In Singapore, there is this life and locals and restaurants and then big casinos and an array of chefs, and even Miami is almost close to Vegas when it comes to an amazing presentation of chefs. But they don’t have these massive hotels that have become their own culinary villages.
I want to play main rooms in Vegas. I want to play every day like Elvis did, not just weekends.
You know, I’m playing the Mirage in Vegas, the main room… About 5 percent of all comics end up as the main headliner on the Vegas Strip, so that’s a big deal for me. Getting to do my stand-up the way I have this summer is really what I’ve dreamed of since I was about 10 years old.
‘Leaving Las Vegas’ is a relationship; ‘Dead Man Walking’ is a relationship, and they’re very contained movies. They’re compressed and not in wide open spaces all over the place.
I think on a bucket list for a performer is definitely doing a stage show, whether it’s in Vegas or on Broadway or whatever.
My parents have a pawnshop in Downtown Las Vegas for quite awhile. I grew up seeing people come in and want – need – money so they could go and gamble again or so they could pay their bills or whatever reason, and try and sell items that were of value to them.
When I went to college at the University of Nevada back in Las Vegas, I got tricked into singing in choir. The first thing we did was the Mozart ‘Requiem.’ That was the piece that changed my life overnight.
Vegas is exciting, and it’s nice to be somewhere on a regular basis rather than just criss-crossing the country. It allows me to have a semblance of a life.
I didn’t much like Las Vegas. The noise of the place and the whole 24-hour, ‘let’s play the slot machines all night’ culture of the place just left me cold.
Yeah, Vegas is the number one place to go. Vegas is Sin City. It really gives you a feeling of looseness and anything can go.

When I was eight we went to Las Vegas for my brother Michael’s 21st birthday, and my bedtime was pushed back quite late. I was always waking up as everyone was rolling in from their night out. It was an eye-opener!
As a general rule, Las Vegas sports books take boxing bets only on major fights. The same is true of most Internet gaming sites. Within that framework, not only does boxing allow participants to bet on their own bouts, it sometimes encourages them to do so.
