Two of my favourite products for a quick-fix are lipstick and mascara. I think with lipstick, brighter is better.
For some people, being bare-faced is wonderful. Others like a little bit of mascara and eyeliner.
When I do my own makeup, I limit my options: I have one Mac eye colour, a neutral shade with a bit of shimmer, plus eyeliner and subtle mascara. I wear a little foundation and put Laura Mercier concealer around my nose, underneath my eyes and on any dark spots.
I’ve used Maybelline Great Lash Waterproof Mascara since I was younger and swear by it.
I think mascara is a must. If I’m going to wear makeup somewhere, and I’m doing it, it’s usually really simple – it’s just mascara and maybe a tiny bit of eyeshadow, but that’s it.
I like Urban Decay lip products, but I don’t wear much make-up on a day-to-day basis. I just apply a little mascara on my lashes and some bronzer.
I lend my daughter beauty products, but only as a treat. If she’s going to a party, I’ll let her borrow a mascara or moisturizer.
If I’m running errands, I’ll put on a little concealer for the circles under my eyes, mascara, and lip gloss.
Most days, I still feel like I need to be wearing mascara, eyeliner, have my eyebrows done, have on bronzer – the whole thing! I may as well do it all.
I usually like to keep my hair and makeup routines pretty simple after I work out but always need a little bit of mascara to finish off the look. I just swipe some on and then am good to go for the rest of the day.
I use a toothbrush on my lips as a lip scrub; occasionally, I use a toothbrush with some dark eye shadow on my eye brows if I want to fill them in. And if I want a really thick, textured look with mascara, I put one on my lashes, as well.
I can’t live without mascara and lipstick – every day.
Everywhere I go, I travel with Estee Lauder Perfectionist Youth-Infusing Brightening Serum + Concealer, M.A.C. In Extreme Dimension Lash mascara, and Nars’ tinted moisturizer.
The ‘aha’ moment came one to me one morning when I was applying my mascara, and I realized that the retirement crisis is actually a woman’s crisis: Women live longer than men yet retire with less money.
At night if I’m in a hurry, I’ll just put on a lot of mascara and black pencil all the way around the inner rim. It’s a totally sexy eye in a minute and a half.
My routine definitely starts with brows. I do add a little bit of mascara – even to the gym. I have to! I love Maybelline and Covergirl, just drugstore brands. I’m telling you, they’re the best.
I love Dr. Hauschka’s blue mascara. It’s not so blue that it’s like, ‘What’s wrong with you?’ It’s more like a secret that you’re wearing it.
I’m more conservative with make-up. My everyday look is a bit of concealer with lots and lots of mascara.
I don’t often wear mascara in real life, but on-set or backstage, if I’m crying or even if my eyes get watery, I get a Q-Tip, and I wet it with a few drops of water. Then I go lash by lash and clean it up.
My go-to products are a Tom Ford tinted moisturiser, an Armani foundation and a Smashbox mascara.
For my eyes, I wear a very thin line of black eyeliner just to lengthen the eye, and I almost never wear mascara; I like natural lashes.
I wear makeup pretty much every day. For training, I usually do a lighter base, a lighter blush and I used the mascara and a little bit of the lip gloss.
I have really big alien eyes, so the more mascara the better.
For makeup, I swear by a base of Embryolisse, Nars concealer, that Bobbie Brown foundation stick, Pat’s highlighter, a brow fill-in with dark brown eyeshadow and angle brush, a groom with Anastasia brow gel, an eyelash curl, and two swipes of drugstore mascara.
