In England, David and I are big fish in a small pond. But in L.A., we are tiny, tiny, tiny fish in a big pond.
The only time I really eat out is when I’m on the road. Then, I make the same choices that I would make at home – salmon and lots of oily fish and veggies.
I don’t feel I have the right to snuff the lives of chicken and fish.
I don’t care what color the parents are. I don’t care if it’s a giraffe and a fish living together. If they’re raising children who believe they’re honored and loved, that’s all that’s important.
I’ve been making sushi for 38 years, and I’m still learning. You have to consider the size and color of the ingredients, how much salt and vinegar to use and how the seasons affect the fattiness of the fish.
You’re much better off to buy fresh fish from a market as opposed to buying something that’s been frozen and processed and covered in breadcrumbs.
I do – I do enjoy a good rom-com here and there. Would ‘A Fish Called Wanda’ be a rom-com?
Golf and fishing. I usually do both at least once a week. The biggest fish I’ve ever caught was a 36 lb. carp.
I love Michel Roux, Jr., and James Martin – the chefs who are experts in their own right, like Rick Stein on fish. But I don’t watch them very much because I don’t think it’s fair for my husband to be in a total food environment all the time! So we watch programmes about gardening more.
My dad worked for the Fish and Wildlife Service, and he worked for the Department of Interior, you know, like the federal government. And consequently, I was outdoors a lot in my lifetime.
I’ve been in a lot of different factions my whole career, and all the guys who made up those factions are different performers. For example, if you look at the Undisputed Era as a whole, I’m very different than Roderick Strong, who’s very different from Kyle O’Reilly, who’s very different from Bobby Fish.
Well, my mom actually taught me how to fish. We used to go when I was little, like 5 or 6 years old.

When you’re buying your whole fish, check that the eyes are clear and gills are a bright red colour and that there is no ‘fishy’ smell.
Never be a food snob. Learn from everyone you meet – the fish guy at your market, the lady at the local diner, farmers, cheese makers. Ask questions, try everything and eat up!
Awards shows… I just feel like a fish out of water at those things.
My usual day: a green smoothie for breakfast – if I want to get fancy, it’s eggs on arugula – fruit for a snack, a salad with protein for lunch, and fish and quinoa for dinner.
Technically, fish can last up to half a year in a freezer, but their quality starts to slide after the first month.
Our cattle, poultry and fish should not be exposed to antibiotics or hormones that will be harmful to their human consumers.
For a footballer, not playing is like a fish not being in the water.
For dinner parties, I love making an easy cioppino using shrimp, mussels, clams, and a hearty fish that won’t fall apart easily.
It’s a bit like some martial arts: if you’re behind somebody there’s not much they can do, if you’re in a certain position. So same thing with a fish, if you’re in the right position you’re okay. As soon as you get in the wrong position you can be in very real danger.
I’m big on active recovery and supplementation with fish oils and anti-inflammatories and whatever it is.
Cheap fish has usually been caught in careless ways.
After I entered the film industry, I restricted my non-veg diet to fish and chicken. I can’t, however, remain without non-veg food even for a single day.
I did go into the Amazonian region of Brazil. They have prehistoric river fish that weigh in at around 600 pounds, which you don’t see anywhere else. And foods that cannot be exported or even found in other parts of Brazil.
No human being, however great, or powerful, was ever so free as a fish.
I usually fish a Hornberg or a Muddler Minnow, a deer-haired streamer that comes in a variety of sizes and colors but replicates a sculpin minnow or a grasshopper. Even if a trout doesn’t take the larger streamers, it can usually be counted on to come up and give a look, revealing its location.
I have practice from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M., and then I drive home and eat lunch, which is either chicken or fish so I get the protein.
If you have to ban something, ban products which are actually harmful for us, like cigarettes. Smoking also affects the health of people standing around you. But we won’t ban such things. We’re told don’t eat fish, don’t eat meat, don’t wear miniskirts and other such things.
No one understands the impacts of shifting fish stocks more than commercial and recreational fishermen in my district.
I don’t know anything about the Chicago Bears, but I know a few things about bears. I know they eat fish out of rivers sometimes. They like salmon. They’re cuddly-looking, but they’re very vicious.
I fully support the goal of species protection and conservation and believe that recovery and ultimately delisting of species should be the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s top priority under ESA.
Even that was all consumed after two days, and the patients had to try to choke down fresh fish, just boiled in water, without salt, pepper or butter; mutton, beef, and potatoes without the faintest seasoning.
I’ve always wanted to be able to hold my breath for like, ever, and swim in the water like a fish.
I love to cook comfort food. I’ll make fish and vegetables or meat and vegetables and potatoes or rice. The ritual of it is fun for me, and the creativity of it.
I’m pretty healthy, so I eat a lot of vegetables and fish. But I’m a huge sweets fan. It’s really bad. I love ice cream and cookies and cake and all that stuff. So on the weekends, I will definitely indulge.
I lead a simple life. I feed the fish. I walk the dogs. I cook dinner. Occasionally I take a meeting.
Every unwanted animal ends up on my farm: alpacas and horses and dogs and cats and chickens and ducks and parrots and fish and guinea pigs.
I do fish, and as a matter of fact, I used to do a lot of deep sea fishing, but as far as going into the water, I don’t go out deep into the water.
The only good things I’ve seen emerge from a steamer are tamales, couscous, and dumplings – maybe the occasional artichoke or delicate fish fillet. But baby turnips with their tender greens still attached should be boiled in water as salty as the sea until their flesh is silky and soft.
People eat the chicken, people eat the beef, they still say, ‘Don’t kill the fish.’
Fresh seafood reminds me of Hawaii and eating raw ahi fish on the beach with a little soy sauce – instant sashimi.
I only eat fish – no chicken, no turkey, just fish. I get all my protein from fish and egg whites.
We all know what flopping is when we see it. The stuff that you see is where guys aren’t really getting hit at all and are just flailing around like a fish out of water.
If we don’t preserve the oceans from nitrate runoff and plastic and chemicals, and if we don’t preserve it from acidification, and if we don’t preserve it from grotesque overfishing – too much money chasing too few fish – we’re going to have the most massive ecosystem on the planet in peril.
Ask where your meat and fish come from. Organic and free-range is a little bit more expensive, but if you can afford it, you will taste the difference.
Large fish such as tuna are shown already cut into fillets and bought by the block. Fillets should be almost transparent. Avoid tuna that looks rainbow-colored or black.
When I’m acting, I’m pretending to be someone else, but when I fish, I’m just Robson.
I grew up in Mobile, Alabama – somebody’s got to be from Mobile, right? – and Mobile sits at the confluence of five rivers, forming this beautiful delta. And the delta has alligators crawling in and out of rivers filled with fish and cypress trees dripping with snakes, birds of every flavor.
For me, there’s something likable but not quite lovable about poached fish: the ultraclean flavor, the melt-away texture, the no-fat virtuousness.
Fish is the only kind of respirating thing that I consume. Everything else I don’t want any part of.
The one thing that a fish can never find is water; and the one thing that man can never find is God.
I like to catch fish and release them. I probably haven’t killed a fish that I’ve caught in sport fishing for 20 years. No reason to kill it. You know, just take it and release it.
Fish die belly upward, and rise to the surface. Its their way of falling.
I do fish. I think there is a connection between thinking and fishing mostly because you spend a lot of time up to your waist in water without a whole lot to keep your mind busy.
I believe there’s a job in the fish factory for me. That’s enough to get me through every audition.
I call it an old-fashioned seafood house for the new millennium. We are trying to update what we know as old fish houses and places like that, which are great, but I want to give it a new, fresh look with updated versions of the classics we all love.
