It’s horrible dating with Mama Mai! She is nosy. When I was a kid she would be the first one eavesdropping on my phone calls: ‘Hello? Who you call for? Huh?’
I’ll get depressed out on the road simply because I’m not being the mama that’s cooking supper every night, or that’s fixing my husband’s plate and my baby’s plate. You miss those things, and I miss them.
We know how powerful our mother was when we were little, but is our wife that powerful to us now? Must we relive our great deed of escape from Mama with every other woman in our life?
